Choose for the memory
An image does not need to be technically perfect to belong on a wall or in an album. Pick the pictures that bring back a person, a place or a particular feeling. A quiet, familiar image may keep its meaning longer than the most impressive frame in a folder.
Make a small first selection
Choose a handful of photographs and look at them together. Mix a wider scene with closer details, and leave out duplicates that do not add anything. A modest set is easier to finish than an ambitious album that remains a project.
Live with the pictures
Try a few small prints before choosing a large format. Notice which ones you return to, how the colours work in the room and whether the crop still feels right. Keep the original files so you can make a different version later.
