Start with the original delivery message
A private gallery is usually accessed through the link and instructions sent by your photographer. If you cannot find them, search your correspondence using the photographer’s name and the approximate session date. Check directly with the photographer before entering credentials on an unfamiliar page.
Understand the files you receive
A gallery preview, a social-sharing download and a full-resolution file may be different sizes. Read the delivery notes before choosing which files to print. Keep the originals in a clearly named folder and make separate copies for cropping or editing.
Keep more than one copy
Download the photographs you want to retain while the gallery is available. Keep a second copy somewhere separate from the device you use every day, and occasionally check that you can open it. A printed collection gives favourite pictures another life beyond a login link.
